Job Description
Do you enjoy hands-on work with precision and attention to detail? Do you want to contribute to cutting-edge battery development in a supportive and collaborative environment?
We are seeking a R&D Technician with a strong emphasis on engineering to support our R&D team by preparing, assembling, testing, and performing quality checks on electrochemical cells. You will work closely with engineers, scientists, and fellow technicians, helping to ensure consistent, high-quality results.
SuperDielectrics (SD) is pioneering a breakthrough battery technology designed for the high-power markets of the future, supporting the global shift to electrification. Our water-based batteries deliver market-leading performance through a novel polymer separator, combined with zinc halide electroactive species and carbon-based porous electrodes.
To accelerate commercialisation, SD operates a fully integrated product development model - from advanced materials through to cells, modules and packs - underpinned by in-house battery management systems.
Reporting to the Head of Technical Operations and working closely with the Scale-Up and Deployment Team, you will be a vital contributor to reach our operational goals. It is an exciting time to join a high-growth, entrepreneurial business at a pivotal stage. While experience in battery technology is advantageous, we actively welcome candidates from adjacent fields – bringing fresh perspectives to complex engineering challenges. In return, we offer a world-class environment to develop deep expertise in next-generation energy storage.
