The Role:
In this role, you'll be part of the Universal Services Information Governance Team, supporting the Universal Services and Hampshire 2050 directorates in managing complaints, information requests, senior management correspondence, and data protection matters. Guided by established procedures, you'll help ensure compliance with legislation and best practice, while also offering advice on various aspects of information governance.
What you'll do:
In this role, you'll support the handling of Freedom of Information and Environmental Information Requests by logging, acknowledging, and coordinating responses, as well as drafting replies and redacting sensitive content.
You'll maintain accurate records of data incidents and assist with Subject Access Requests and other information rights matters. You'll also handle complaints and senior management correspondence, ensuring timely responses and supporting investigations.
Additionally, you'll coordinate responses to petitions and liaise with Member Services. Reporting responsibilities include compiling monthly and quarterly data, assisting with the management of distribution lists, and carrying out general administrative tasks to support the team's operations.
What we're looking for:
:Qualifications and Experience: GCSE grade A:C in English and Maths (or equivalent), plus a formal qualification or equivalent experience in business administration with a strong background in varied administrative tasks
:Skills and Competencies: Excellent multitasking, organisational, and time management skills; high attention to detail in data entry and documentation; ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
:Communication and Teamwork: Effective communicator across all levels and with external contacts; able to work independently and collaboratively within a team; handles confidential information with discretion
:Technical and Customer Service: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service with minimal supervision
