Job description
* Must have mechanical & electrical experience
* Machine tools experience or have worked with machine tools
* Good with diagnostics and maintenance/repairs
* But also have management experience and some warehouse management experience
* Good with customers as we’d like them to have some first line customer service role.
* Ability to be able to draft technical manuals.
Technical Requirements:
You will have a mechanical engineering background
You will be proficient in electrical 240v and 440v and electrical controls
You will need to be able to wire up machinery, conforming to current electrical safety standards
You will be able to undertake metalworking tasks including drilling, tapping and fitting accessories onto machines.
Use your metalworking background to solve workshop issues, find and rectify faults
Carry out testing and commissioning of new machines
Check machines against specification and quality criteria
Fabrication of parts and undertake general metalworking tasks
Carry out refurbishment of used machinery
Experience with Quality Assurance systems and procedures would be advantageous Occasional client site visits for repairs, specialist installs and collections will be required Provide technical support to the sales team and direct with customer
You Must have:
A positive ‘can do’ attitude and good communication and interpersonal skills
Practical experience in a comparable role
Good telephone manner and be comfortable dealing with customer technical queries
Be a flexible, adaptable, team worker and able to work safely and without supervision under you own initiative
Be committed to delivering a high level of customer service
Provide holiday, sickness and general cover during busy periods in the warehouse as required
Be computer literate
Possess a clean UK drivers licence
