What the Job Involves Your role is to deliver a professional mechanical engineering service, encompassing everything from specifying and designing new mechanical systems to managing multiple projects through various stages, including design, specification, and during site work. You will ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required specifications. Key responsibilities include acting as a contract administrator, representing the Senior Mechanical Engineer, leading procurement strategies, and ensuring compliance with new build standards. Additionally, projects involve new builds, engaging with stakeholders and tenant associations, site inspections, and liaising with other departments to ensure project success while mentoring junior staff. Skills Chartered Engineer or full member of CIBSE, or relevant degree Technical knowledge of retrofit, mechanical installations, heat networks Excellent communication, both written and verbal Creative problem-solving in engineering design and maintenance Proven project management and contract administration skills Ability to lead on multiple medium to large projects Knowledge of services engineering regulations and British Standards Flexibility with work locations, including site visits
