Private Client Lawyer Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 We are seeking a client-focused Private Client Lawyer to join a well-established legal practice in Barnsley that provides a full range of legal services to individuals and businesses across South Yorkshire and beyond. About the Role As a Private Client Lawyer, you will manage a varied caseload of private client matters, providing sensitive, practical and tailored advice to individuals and families. You will play a key role in supporting clients through important life decisions, offering clear guidance and maintaining the highest levels of client care. What You'll Be Doing Managing a caseload of private client matters including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate and Estate Administration. Advising clients on inheritance tax planning and estate planning strategies. Drafting Wills, trusts and related documentation. Handling the administration of estates from instruction through to distribution. Providing compassionate and clear advice to clients during sensitive situations. Liaising with beneficiaries, executors, financial advisers and other professionals. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and firm standards. Who We're Looking For You will be: A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive and or relevant experience in private client work. Confident managing your own caseload with minimal supervision. Technically strong with a sound understanding of probate and estate administration processes. Client-focused, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritise effectively. Comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
