About Phorest
Would you like to create the future of a product used by thousands of businesses and millions of consumers? Phorest Salon Software powers over 11,000 hair and beauty salons in Ireland, UK, Germany, Australia, Finland, USA, Canada, UAE and Netherlands and the platform processes 7 million appointments a month for hair and beauty consumers. Phorest is the number 1 salon software brand for premium independent salons in those markets and our next goal is to become a platform upon which other companies can build applications for premium salons.
Our system touches every point of the salon experience. We have the in-salon software desktop application, Phorest Go (the native staff application), online bookings website for salons, and custom native apps per salon. In a typical month, Phorest processes 3 million appointments and we send over 3 million SMS and 4 million emails. We process 200k online bookings per month and over 150 custom built white label native apps.
The Opportunity
At Phorest we are embarking on new opportunities to bring value to our customers, helping them grow their business. As part of that we are creating a new team focused on Communications. This is taking responsibility for the performance of our existing lines of communication for our customers and their clients as well as opening up and managing new communication channels.
As a Senior Product Manager for Communications at Phorest, you own complex, commercially impactful initiatives that span multiple squads or domains. You are an experienced voice of the customer and strategic partners within the Three Amigos unit, connecting discovery and delivery to steward product quality and amplify impact across teams and regions. Senior Product Managers know not only their own domain inside and out but can comfortably talk to other areas that they may not necessarily own but have extended their scope of interest to learn about. You are known for your ability to bring clarity, structure and follow-through to everything you touch. Regions, peers and stakeholders you work with see you as a reliable, trusted partner who ensures that when something is on your plate, it gets done — and done well.
Your work focuses not just on building but on building the most impactful things for our customers and for the business. You balance customer insight, commercial awareness and operational discipline to deliver measurable outcomes. You mentor and guide less experienced Product Managers, leading by example through ownership, communication and consistent delivery. You bring sustained clarity, curiosity and momentum to complex initiatives, fostering confidence and cohesion across the organisation
What You'll Do
Ownership & Accountability
You take full ownership of initiatives from discovery through delivery and post-launch impact tracking.
You hold yourself accountable to results — ROI, ARR, adoption and customer outcomes — not just delivery.
You proactively communicate challenges, risks and performance, ensuring clarity and consistent messaging.
You follow through — ensuring initiatives reach their intended outcome, not just completion.
You define the product direction for your area, shaping the long-range roadmap, key bets and how we win in the market.
You recognise the broader system impact of your work and engage other teams early to align dependencies and avoid surprises.
You exemplify the Phorest Product Management Charter principles at a master level: Customer-Led, Organised, and Outcome-Oriented
Cross-Team Leadership
You manage and drive initiatives that span multiple squads, functions, or geographies.
You bring consistency, communication and coordination across teams, ensuring a shared understanding of what success looks like.
You lead with influence, not authority — collaborating deeply with design, engineering and product operations, bringing strategic thinking, reducing ambiguity to drive momentum, accountability and creating a clear path forward.
You resolve blockers where possible and escalate only when necessary — demonstrating resourcefulness and ownership.
You ensure cross‑functional and regional alignment, partnering with Product Operations, Success, Support, Product Marketing and Regions to ensure readiness, feedback integration and commercial alignment.
Customer & Commercial Impact
You think commercially: ROI and ARR impact are core lenses alongside customer outcomes in every roadmap decision.
You deeply understand customer pain points and ground decisions in direct feedback, discovery and data.
You maintain close partnerships with regional teams, attending customer calls weekly and validating your assumptions in-market.
You prioritise initiatives that deliver measurable value for both customers and the business — balancing user benefit, commercial return and strategic fit.
Product Craft & Communication
You are a clear communicator — your documents, pitches and status updates are precise, structured, and insightful.
You write strong business cases that are written in good time explaining the 'why', 'what', and 'impact' of each major investment.
You provide clarity for your squads through well-written stories, sharp prioritisation and well-managed backlogs.
You are proactive in managing stakeholder expectations — ensuring alignment and minimising surprises.
You challenge design and engineering constructively, as a peer, to arrive at the best solution possible.
Mentorship & Collaboration
You actively mentor junior PMs — offering feedback, asking where they need help, and stepping in when you can provide support.
You are approachable and dependable — peers and cross-functional partners know they can count on you to get things done.
You build trusted partnerships with regions, marketing and other teams by delivering with consistency and clarity.
You lead with empathy and strength, providing constructive feedback and holding others to the same high bar you set for yourself.
Habits & Discipline
You exemplify strong PM fundamentals: up-to-date roadmaps, organised backlogs and high quality Agile practises, weekly progress updates and metrics tracking for every initiative.
You use data to understand and communicate performance — demonstrating awareness of the health of your product area.
You close the loop post-launch, analysing adoption, gathering insights, and applying learnings to future work.
You are consistent, disciplined, and organised — setting the tone for operational excellence in your squads.

So if you think you have what it takes, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch. We'd love to have a chat and see if you could be a great fit.
