This is a new role within the treasury team and offers a great opportunity to contribute to the group’s investment and treasury function whilst gaining valuable experience in the insurance market. The role will support the Group Treasurer in managing group entities’ and syndicates’ day-to-day cash management, record-keeping, monitoring, and financial reporting for senior management, regulators, and auditors. This position also provides the chance to develop financial expertise, strengthen leadership skills, and prepare for a future Group Treasurer role.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Group Treasurer in preparing quarterly investment reports for the Finance and Investment Committee, along with ad hoc analysis and management information.
* Oversee the opening and closing of bank accounts and ensure changes in mandates and signatories are communicated to relevant third parties.
* Assist with currency management, including asset/liability matching, purchases, sales, and forward contracts, ensuring accurate settlement.
* Support the Group Treasurer in managing outsourced arrangements with banks, custodians, rating agencies, investment managers, and consultants, ensuring timely and accurate information flow.
* Liaise with external auditors as necessary.
* Review daily/monthly cash flow forecasts and produce monthly cash/investment KPIs with commentary for risk and compliance teams.
* Oversee monthly reconciliation of investment data within the investment accounting system.
* Oversee the production of investment-related regulatory submissions and group-level reporting requirements.
* Facilitate timely provision of investment data to group stakeholders.
* Develop and embed investment-related ESG requirements into strategy, policies, risk management, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
* Oversee the preparation of asset data for internal models, undertake risk analysis, and contribute investment commentary for financial reporting.
* Provide oversight, coaching, and development for the Treasury Analyst/Assistant.
* Undertake any other related duties as may reasonably be required.

Skills & Experience
* Significant experience in investment accounting and regulatory reporting within the insurance or financial services market (typically 5+ years).
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or ACT qualified.
* Strong knowledge of treasury management and investment accounting.
* Sound understanding of regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.
* Familiarity with relevant regulatory handbooks and frameworks.
* Ability to perform effectively under pressure, prioritize workload, and meet tight deadlines.
* Proficiency with office IT applications.
* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate.
