Are you ready to be the engineering backbone of emergency response? Our client is seeking a highly skilled professional to join their team in Belfast, Boucher Crescent.
As a Multi-skilled Mechanical Emergency Technician (MET), you’ll play a pivotal role in the repair, maintenance, and innovation of our emergency response fleet and life-saving equipment. From advanced diagnostics on cutting-edge hybrid vehicles to high-level fabrication and electrical repairs, you’ll tackle complex challenges with autonomy and precision—often in high-pressure situations and extreme environments.
1. Pay rate £19.11 per hour
2. 36.25 hours per week
3. Monday – Friday
4. 6 months initially with possible extension
Essential Criteria :
Possess a certified level 3 trade qualification as depicted in the NQF in Vehicle Repair and Maintenance.
And Have at least two years’ post apprentice experience working in a trade role in their area of expertise which includes heavy vehicle.
Must demonstrate experience in plant mechanics and light vehicle repair.
Level 3 qualification as depicted in the NQF in vehicle system repair and replacement in Electric/Hybrid Vehicles.
Qualified to safely install, maintain and fault find both 240v and 110v electrical systems on vehicles and equipment.
Must demonstrate excellent record keeping of computerised repair and inspection data.
Competent in the use of IT software and computer systems.
Fluency in electrical systems, IT tools, and Management Information Systems
A UK C Class driving licence and the resilience to support emergency response operations 24/7
