Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It's our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but flexible options for fewer hours (minimum 12) are available. We schedule your hours within the specified availability windows, with 3 weeks' notice of your shifts. We welcome applicants with availability close to the advertised times.
Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As the face of Tesco on the road, our Delivery Drivers meet customers in their homes daily. This role involves more than driving; it’s about helping others and delivering excellent service with a smile. It’s hands-on, physical, and varied. You’ll be your own boss during shifts, with support from managers and colleagues back at the store.

Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring the van and trays are clean and organized.
* Maintaining a tidy delivery area and picking up litter.
* Washing trays as part of the process.
* Loading the van, checking its roadworthiness.
* Communicating with customers about order changes, substitutions, and refunds.
* Handling products carefully and delivering within the customer’s time slot.
* Calling customers if early or running late.
Requirements:
* Build relationships with colleagues to foster team spirit.
* Be warm and welcoming to customers and colleagues.
* Respond quickly to customer needs and embrace change.
* Be energetic and driven to exceed expectations.
* Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving license (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
