Role description:
We are looking for a hydrogeologist at the start of their career to work on a wide range of projects including large-scale infrastructure, engineering, environmental projects, landfill, quarry, and water resources projects.
Our work aims to protect our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations. In the face of climate change, urbanization, and biodiversity loss, we address events like floods and wildfires to safeguard our environment.
Role accountabilities:
As a Junior Hydrogeologist, you will support our UK hydrogeology team by collecting, collating, and interpreting groundwater data across various projects. Responsibilities include producing graphics with tools like QGIS, collaborating with groundwater modelling teams, and assisting in report writing. You will be supported by a team of about 20 hydrogeologists across 7 offices and a broader team of approximately 500 colleagues.
* Processing data from site investigations and databases.
* Assisting in developing hydrogeological models for impact assessments.
* Presenting data outputs using GIS, GUIs, and MS Office.
* Contributing to report production.
* Undertaking site investigations such as water surveys, drilling, sampling, and pump testing as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
* BSc (or higher) in Geology, Environmental Geoscience, Environmental Science, or similar; MSc in Hydrogeology preferred.
* Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams to meet deadlines and budgets.
* Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
* Full UK driving license preferred.

Location flexibility within the UK is available, with preferred offices in Bristol, Birmingham, Guildford, Exeter, or Cardiff, but other locations may be considered for the right candidate.
