The School of Foundation, Intermediate Learning and Employability at Kingston College are looking to appoint a Lecturer to teach a combination of GCSE Maths and Maths Functional Skills. The GCSE teaching will be predominantly to students aged 16-19 years of age. For Maths Functional Skills classes we allocate 2 hours of teaching a week.
You will follow our agreed schemes of work and assessment schedules, and you will be expected to set a minimum of one piece of marked work each class every week. This will be recorded on Pro-Monitor. You will prepare students for June exams, marking home works and mock exams, student monitoring and where appropriate curriculum development.
As our Lecturer, we would like you to hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject, hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and have excellent teaching skills in GCSE and Functional Skills Mathematics to students aged 16-19 years of age. We would like you to have energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject and education, be able to support, motivate and empathise with learners, including monitoring their progress and be able to use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
