Job Summary
Fixed term GP. Contract until 31st March 26.
We are looking for an enthusiastic 6‑session GP to join our innovative training practice in Bicester, covering for a salaried GP.
We operate a triage system with no duty days and offer telephone and face‑to‑face appointments. This is a salaried position offering a competitive pay structure, flexible working options, and a Wellness Programme. We currently have a patient list of just under 17,000 and a team of 11 GPs and around 60 staff including allied health professionals.
Job Specifications
* Salary: £11,661 per session.

Main Duties
* Manage a varied patient list, ensuring the highest standard of care.
* Provide highly effective medical care, including clinical sessions, clinical admin and other duties.
* Conduct patient consultations via telephone, face‑to‑face and occasional home visits.
* Effectively manage long‑term conditions.
* Assess health‑care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
* Work collaboratively with primary and community care providers.
* Prescribe generically in line with local and national guidelines.
* Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes in accordance with best practice and policy.
* Process administrative tasks promptly, including referrals, repeat prescription requests, and other associated tasks.
* Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and audit processes.
* Accept delegated responsibilities for QOF and commissioner improvement programmes.
* Support the management team in achieving the practice’s strategic aims.
* Develop and maintain clinical skills through CPD and participate in annual appraisals.
* Encourage collaborative working, liaising with staff and promoting continuous improvement.
* Participate in the training of GP registrars and medical, nursing and allied professional students and staff.
* Engage with practice working groups and specialists (not a required part but encouraged and rewarded).

Person Specification
Essential
* Experience in a general practice / primary care environment.
* Fully qualified GP eligible to work in General Practice in the NHS.
* National Performers List registration.
* General Practitioner Registration.
* Satisfactory DBS report.
Desirable
* Clinical specialism or leadership experience.
* Experience of working to achieve QOF standards.
* Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
* Understanding of the local patient population’s needs.
* Experience of EMIS Web.
