You will: Lead and mentor the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education with pride and energy. Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing all aspects of nursery operations, ensuring consistency and quality. Act as a role model, fostering an environment of initiative, creativity, and high standards of care. Build strong partnerships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to promote collaboration and excellent outcomes for children. Monitor and guide the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging and nurturing learning opportunities. Take responsibility for the nursery in the Nursery Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth operations. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional development within your team. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that respects the unique needs of every child. Situated in a charming rural setting, our nursery provides children with a variety of learning opportunities that allow them to explore their interests and develop their unique talents. At our nursery we have 3 rooms, baby room which is 0-2 years, toddler room which is 2-3 years, Preschool room which is 3-5 years. Little Houghton Day Nursery is just to the south of Northampton, off the A428 (Bedford to Northampton Road), next to the local church St Mary The Virgin. The nursery is only a short drive away from other local villages as well as a bus route called the village hopper which goes to all surrounding villages and to Northampton Bus Station.
