We’re on the lookout for a caring and committed SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming ASD Hub in Weston-super-Mare.
This role is all about helping young people with autism feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. You’ll be part of a dedicated team who believe that every child deserves the chance to shine.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with autism
2. Creating a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
3. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to support progress
4. Encouraging independence, confidence, and communication skills
What we’re looking for:
5. Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (bonus points if you’ve worked with autism)
6. A patient, understanding, and flexible approach
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills
8. Someone who can bring warmth, creativity, and positivity to every day
