About the Role You will teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4, exploring world religions, philosophy, and ethics through discussion-based and reflective learning. The role also involves contributing to the school's wider chaplaincy and pastoral life.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4
* Prepare students for GCSE Religious Studies examinations
* Facilitate respectful discussion of religious, moral, and philosophical issues
* Support whole-school assemblies, chaplaincy, or reflection activities
* Assess and provide feedback in line with departmental policy
* Contribute to the school's pastoral and values-based curriculum

Candidate Requirements
Essential
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level
* Strong subject knowledge of world religions and ethics
* Ability to lead sensitive discussions inclusively
Desirable
* Experience teaching GCSE Religious Studies (AQA or Edexcel)
* Experience contributing to chaplaincy or pastoral programmes
* Interest in supporting whole-school assemblies or reflection time
