Estates Service Manager
London
GBP 45,719 : GBP 48,125 per year
40 hours per week : Monday to Friday : 8:00am to 4:30pm
The Estates Services Team have an opportunity for a Estates Service Manager to oversee and coordinate our London based team of 15 to 20 directly employed operatives (DLOs) as well as subcontractors. Key responsibilities include the effective management of the caretakers and grounds maintenance staff, to ensure that the correct level of suitably trained and experienced resources are available on:site to meet the requirements of the associated statutory legislation such as Building Safety and compliance requirements at all times. Effective resource and workload planning, quality assurance through regular audits, and maintaining documented records.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working to deadlines, prioritising workloads, be IT competent and possess strong leadership skills with a solid understanding of multi:trade activities and health and safety standards.

Overseeing the cleaning and grounds maintenance of properties, ensuring they are carried out to a high standard

Inspecting works completed to ensure these represent value for money e.g. efficient use of materials

Maintaining compliance for health and safety, ensuring this is promoted and adhered to

Handling complaints and breakdowns in service to meet customer expectations

Working with colleagues to ensure work is arranged, prioritised and completed in an efficient manner

Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure the customer is our main focus

To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to HNC in Management Studies, ILM membership (The Institute of Leadership) and have a NVQ Level 3 in Business studies or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
