About this opportunity
As a Technical Application Specialist - Cyber at Lloyds Banking Group, you'll help operate our certificate authorities and support the modernisation of our platform. A key part of this role is assisting with the creation of certificate automation patterns that make managing certificates faster and more reliable, both on-premises and in cloud environments.
You'll gain hands‑on experience with secure systems and learn how automation and cloud technologies can improve processes. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll contribute to projects that simplify certificate management and help us deliver strong security across the organisation.
Day to day, you'll:
* Discover the key role we play in securing and protecting Lloyds Banking Group
* Learn what these teams do through a mix of training, and buddy supported on‑the‑job learning
* Develop skills in agile ways of working
* Gain experience of many different aspects including Incidents, Changes, Problems, Risks, DevOps Pipelines & associated tooling, Container Security, Secrets and PKI Management - and much more!
What you'll need
* Proven detailed, logical and creative thinking skills
* Evidence of passion for analysing and solving problems, and driving/implementing solutions
* Methodical and detail‑oriented approach, capable of prioritising and managing multiple tasks
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in a variety of situations
* An awareness / understanding of risk, controls and associated impact
* Awareness of cloud platforms (Azure, Google, AWS)
* Some knowledge of DevOps tooling is greatly encouraged (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Spinnaker, Terraform)
