Reporting to the Chief Financial and Operating Officer, this Director is instrumental in leading the planning, acquisition, and maintenance of the University’s corporate real estate portfolio and physical assets. The Role and Impact You will be responsible for overseeing the campus strategy, including the planning, development, and maintenance of our extensive property portfolio. This role is essential to ensuring the estate aligns with the University's ambitious educational and research objectives. Your leadership will drive innovation, excellence rooted in customer service, legal compliance, and championing sustainability and operational efficiency across our campus environment Key Responsibilities Strategic Functions: Campus property master planning (current and future needs), property compliance and risk management oversight, and energy and infrastructure master planning. Operational Leadership: Capital project leadership for internal and external teams, lifecycle and strategic asset management planning, and ensuring compliance with legislation like the Building Safety Act. People and Culture: Leading and managing staff, developing them, and ensuring high performance. Role modelling a culture that puts equality, diversity, and inclusivity at its heart. What We're Looking For We require an exceptional leader who possesses the vision, strategic acumen, and personal credibility to lead a transformative agenda. Essential Qualifications: Professional registration at Chartered level within a relevant property or construction discipline. Membership of a recognised professional body at corporate grade or above. Extensive senior management experience and ability to manage substantial budgets/resources (ideally within a higher education setting).
