As the business continues to thrive, they are looking for a dedicated Cleaning Operative to help maintain a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment for their customers and staff.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position focused on ensuring the café space remains spotless, safe, and ready to welcome guests throughout the day. You'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the café by maintaining high standards of hygiene in both front- and back-of-house areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clean and sanitise dining areas, counters, restrooms, kitchen, and staff spaces
* Wipe down tables, chairs, and food preparation surfaces
* Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to ensure a clean and hazard-free environment
* Manage waste disposal, recycling, and restocking of consumables
* Support the café team by ensuring cleanliness during busy service times
* Always comply with food hygiene and health & safety standards
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in a similar café, restaurant, or hospitality cleaning role preferred
* Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
* Able to work independently
* Reliable, punctual, and flexible with duties as needed
* Knowledge of cleaning and hygiene regulations in food environments is an advantage
