The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Behaviour Mentor to join our pastoral team in our secondary school in Preston, UK. You will play a vital role in providing targeted support and guidance to students who may be experiencing behavioural challenges, helping them to develop positive behaviours, improve their engagement with learning, and thrive within our school community.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and small group mentoring to students identified as needing behavioural support.
Develop and implement individualised behaviour support plans in collaboration with teachers, pastoral staff, and parents/carers.
Build positive and trusting relationships with students, acting as a positive role model and providing consistent support.
Support students in understanding the impact of their behaviour and developing strategies for self-regulation.
Liaise with teachers, year leaders, SENCO, and other relevant staff to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to behaviour management.
