Opportunity Overview
An exciting opportunity for Band 7 Senior specialist nurse to join the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells ADHD Team.
Qualifications
The post-holders will be qualified nurses fully registered with the NMC and will ideally have additional post-graduate qualifications relevant to the area of ADHD.
Responsibilities
* Assess and treat patients presenting with ADHD. Effectively assess for ADHD, and have knowledge of co-morbid difficulties, mental illness in children and young people, and safeguarding practices.
* Attend and participate in MDT team meetings and professional meetings of cases on their caseload. Competent in working with other professionals and agencies.
* Responsible for the ADHD pathway within CYPMHS, managing a caseload to assess and provide evidence-based treatment to children and adolescents presenting with ADHD.
* Based at Orchard House in Broadstairs; remote working not suitable.
* Support peers and team leader; be an effective team member while working on own initiative, supervise other staff members as required, and actively liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.
Working Arrangements
Starting with NELFT. New starters will join on the first Monday of each month and will undergo a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training, systems training, and allocation of equipment. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex. The post will be subject to a probationary period unless exempt as an internal applicant.
