Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:
* 3rd level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering degree and/or trade background
* At least 3 years of experience in a site-based MEP role
* Strong collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a high-performance team
Key responsibilities:
* Ensure mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety for all stakeholders
* Lead by example and ensure awareness of company health & safety policies among all stakeholders
* Be aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies, including Lock Out Tag Out procedures
* Maintain knowledge of project mechanical systems and track installation to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules
* Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs)
* Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure compliance
* Coordinate that spaces meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use according to the construction program
* Provide stakeholders with sufficient information to facilitate system installation and progress
* Ensure contractors and vendors are properly resourced to complete their work efficiently
* Review the master construction schedule to identify opportunities for sequencing mechanical and CSA activities to improve delivery
* Lead and participate in onsite and offsite meetings with relevant stakeholders
* Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required
* Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower
* Ensure that system stakeholders produce necessary documentation, including programs, work trackers, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs
