KeyStage Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Qualified Teachers to work as Cover Teachers across a range of schools in the Tees Valley, Durham, North Yorkshire, and East Cleveland. The Role In this role, you will step in to cover for absent teachers, delivering pre-prepared lessons and supporting students to stay engaged with their learning. You may also provide one-to-one support where required. Key Responsibilities Supervise classes and maintain a positive learning environment Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans effectively Ensure students remain on task and achieve learning outcomes Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Provide one-to-one support to individual students when required Communicate with teaching staff and school teams to ensure continuity of learning Requirements DBS Check Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification Experience working with children or young people Strong classroom management and communication skills A flexible and proactive approach to teaching Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to work across different schools and settings Own transport and ability to commute within an agreed area What We Offer Competitive daily rates starting at £145 a day, paid weekly Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Support from a dedicated recruitment consultant A rewarding role supporting schools and students Opportunities to gain experience across a variety of school setting
