Security Officer
Location: Penicuik UK
Pay: £13.45 per hour
Hours: 4 on 4 off nights – 42 hours per week.

Role Overview
As a Security Officer at Securitas, you will protect people and property, inspire others by breaking barriers, and enhance customer service. The role offers flexibility, training, and opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities
* Active Patrols – regularly patrol designated areas to detect and deter suspicious activity.
* Thorough Searches – conduct detailed searches following company policies and procedures.
* Detailed Record‑Keeping – maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork related to security incidents and observations.
* Effective Communication – collaborate with colleagues, supervisors and external authorities to report incidents and coordinate responses to security issues.
* Exceptional Customer Service – provide outstanding customer service to employees, visitors and guests with professionalism and courtesy.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who values teamwork, shows initiative and wants to grow. Ideally you will have:
* A valid SIA licence.
* Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends.
* The right to work in the UK with a 5‑year checkable history.
* Full, clean UK driving licence.
* Strong communication skills in English – both written and spoken.
