The Technical Software Analyst (TSA) is a key member of the Software Analysis function. The TSA supports the business and software delivery teams across the systems lifecycle, focusing on requirements and testing.
The TSA is responsible for creating detailed technical requirements, informing acceptance and test criteria, and ensuring requirements are well-formed with proper traceability and system test plans. This includes both application development and support activities.
Your role as a Technical Software Analyst at phs Group will involve:
* Consultancy and Technical Specialism: Providing advice and recommendations based on expertise across technology, techniques, methods, products, or applications.
* Technical Systems Analysis: Defining requirements to improve systems, reduce costs, enhance sustainability, and quantify business benefits. Collaborating on specifications and acceptance criteria for deploying systems.
* Testing and Definition Management: Supporting test planning, design, execution, and reporting, including test case and script creation.
* Data Management: Managing and analyzing data and information structures, developing innovative information asset management strategies.
* Application Support Management: Managing incident, service, problem, and change records, providing SME advice, and updating documentation.
* System Design Support: Assisting in design through traceability matrices and review of specifications to meet business needs.
* Software Configuration: Designing and deploying software configurations.
* Project Management Support: Assisting delivery leads with project processes, procedures, tools, and techniques.
The ideal candidate will have:
* An honours degree in Business, IT, or equivalent experience.
* Broad knowledge of business processes and systems.
* Experience with Azure DevOps, technical test packs, requirements analysis, and documentation.
* Data analysis skills with SQL, SOQL, or ETL packages.
* Stakeholder management experience.
Desirable qualifications include:
* Previous BA or technical BA role experience.
* BCS Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis or similar.
* Knowledge of warehouse operations, distribution software like Infor M3, or financial software such as Sage 200.
