We’re seeking an Assistant Director & Educational Leader to join our team at Good Shepherd Childcare Service and Kindergarten.
In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with the Centre Director to inspire, guide, and support a committed team of educators. Together, you’ll drive continuous improvement and nurture a warm, inclusive environment where children aged 6 weeks to 5 years can learn, explore, and thrive.
Located in the heart of Springfield Lakes, our service is proudly connected to the school and wider community.
What You’ll Do
1. Support the Centre Director in the day-to-day operations of the service
2. Champion high-quality, inclusive education and care practices
3. Lead by example and mentor educators in their professional growth
4. Build strong, positive relationships with families and the community
5. Step confidently into leadership when the Centre Director is away
Who We’re Looking For
A positive, motivated leader who is ready to grow, inspire, and make a meaningful impact. You will have:
6. A Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA-approved)
7. Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and contemporary early childhood pedagogy
8. Proven experience in an educational leadership role
9. Demonstrated ability to mentor and support a team
10. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
11. A collaborative, proactive, and reflective approach
12. Current WWCC, First Aid, and CPR certifications
