MET Technician (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) – Sherburn in Elmet
Steer Automotive Group is one of the UK’s leading accident repair and bodyshop networks, and we are looking for an experienced MET Technician to join our team in Sherburn in Elmet.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled Vehicle Technician / MET Technician with experience in accident repair, bodyshop dismantling and reassembly, and vehicle mechanical and electrical systems to join a growing business that invests in training, technology, and career development.
Key Responsibilities
14. Dismantle and reassemble vehicles in line with manufacturer repair methods
15. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical vehicle faults
16. Carry out MET (Mechanical, Electrical and Trim) repairs within an accident repair centre
17. Work closely with panel technicians, paint technicians, and estimators
18. Ensure repairs meet safety, quality, and manufacturer standards
19. Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment
Requirements
20. Experience working as an MET Technician, Vehicle Technician, or Automotive Technician
21. Previous experience in a bodyshop or accident repair centre
22. Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and trim systems
23. ATA accreditation (preferred but not essential)
24. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
25. Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced automotive repair environment
