An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and empathetic professional to lead the delivery of services across the Council’s cemeteries, war memorials, and allotments. This key role involves ensuring all interments are conducted with dignity and in full compliance with statutory and Council requirements.
The successful candidate will oversee operational management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership, while driving service improvements and maintaining high standards. Based at Bargoed House, the post requires excellent communication, legal awareness, and a commitment to compassionate service delivery.

Qualifications
* A relevant Level 4 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
* A high degree of sensitivity, compassion and empathy is required when working with the public during their most vulnerable times of grief and an extensive legal knowledge of the bereavement process.
* Experience of planning and management of assets within cemeteries, such as memorials, benches and chapels.
* Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence to drive a Council vehicle.
