Accountant - Accountancy Practice Peterborough £37,000 - £40,000
A growing accountancy practice in Peterborough is looking for an experienced, qualified (or nearly qualified) Accountant to join it's team. You'll be managing accounts, VAT, CIS, and tax returns for a variety of clients, from local entrepreneurs to growing businesses. You'll also play a key role in supporting junior team members.
Role Responsibilities
* Prepare and manage accounts, VAT returns, CIS submissions, and tax returns.
* Work with a broad and varied client base.
* Support and mentor junior members of the team.
* Use software like QuickBooks to manage and maintain client records.
* Ensure compliance with HMRC deadlines and standards.
Personal Requirements
* AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualified (or nearly qualified).
* At least 3 years' experience in a practice environment.
* Confident working independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
* Working knowledge of QuickBooks.
* Friendly, professional, and client-focused.
