Job Summary
Location: The Glade SARC, Bransford (Additional locations: The Glade SARC, Telford & Kidderminster). Salary: Retainer rates – £30.56 per 8‑hour shift (09:00 Monday – 08:59 Saturday) and £40.24 per 8‑hour shift (09:00 Saturday – 08:59 Monday). Attendance payment: £15.85 per hour for a minimum of 3 hours per case. Shift patterns: Out of hours weekday evenings and weekends days and nights.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the 1st point of contact for service users.
* Support the process of service users and their families visiting the centre, including preparing the patient and assisting in the collection of forensic evidence.
* Ensure a high standard of DNA anti‑contamination is maintained between forensic cases (cleaning).
* Assist patients and liaise with other agencies regarding the management of the service‑user pathway.
* Assist with preparation, provide service‑user support and act as an advocate during their time at the SARC.
* Play a key role within the SARC team and the wider company network.
* Act as an advocate for victims of sexual assault, empowering service users to feel in control and supporting them through forensic and care pathways.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* IT skills and basic administration.
* Experience working in a supportive or customer‑focused environment.
* Kind and caring nature.
* Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality.
* Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting required.
* UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (additional travel across SARCs may be required).
