Required Background: Estate Management for an agency or developer
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Estate Manager to join a highly respected, national PLC developer based in East London. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the successful operation and management of our growing residential portfolio. You’ll work closely with our Head of Estate Management, overseeing managing agents, supporting estate handovers, and ensuring the smooth running of our developments for residents and stakeholders alike.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor Managing Agent Performance
* Conduct regular site visits to assess standards and compliance.
* Participate in quarterly reviews and presentations with managing agents.
* Support annual performance audits to ensure service excellence.
* Estate Reporting & Administration
* Produce accurate and timely Estate Management reports for the Head of Estate Management.
* Support block handovers, ensuring all documentation and information is complete and accurate.
* Health, Safety & Compliance
* Monitor and ensure completion of statutory inspections and record-keeping.
* Oversee Health & Safety inspections, review action plans, and ensure timely resolution.
* Financial Oversight
* Monitor the financial “health” of service charge funds, including arrears and capital expenditure.
* Review service charge budgets and accounts prior to final approval.
* Customer & Stakeholder Management
* Manage and process applications for customer consents efficiently.
* Collaborate with Sales, Build, and Customer Service teams to ensure cohesive estate delivery and management.
* General Support
* Provide assistance with all other duties as required by the Head of Estate Management.
About You
* Experience in Estate or Property Management (developer, managing agent, or client-side).
* Strong understanding of service charge management, health & safety compliance, and leasehold legislation.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proactive approach with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
* Ideally IRPM or RICS qualified (or working towards).
