Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated Pharmacist to join the Formulary Team. The role will equip you with new skills and knowledge in processes around formulary, pharmacy commissioning and introduction of new drugs. The post holder is employed by Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and will be based at Addenbrooke's Hospital. You will need good organisational skills, the ability to work on your own initiative as well as excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
* On behalf of the Trust, be responsible for contributing to the management of the system-wide medicines formulary, including development, implementation and maintenance.
* Liaise with the relevant senior pharmacy, medical and nursing staff, other allied health professionals (AHPs) and managers to promote safe, evidence based and cost-effective use of medicines.
* Provide specialist pharmacist advice and service in relation to Formulary matters.
* Provide leadership in relation to the ongoing development of the medicines formulary.
* Assist the Principal Pharmacist - Pharmacy Commissioning & Formulary in providing advice to service users on commissioning matters as required.
