Male Support Worker - This role requires you to be a Driver
Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking a passionate Support Worker to join our incredible team in Widdrington, near Morpeth in Northumberland on a 24hr per week contract.
As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.
From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.
The position is to support a gentleman in his own home with all aspects of daily living, this includes personal care, accessing the community and support with behaviours that challenge. The 24hr per week position is for a male car driver who is available for sleep ins and also waking nights. The service has 2 - 1 staffing at all times.
What we're looking for:
1. A genuine passion for supporting others.
2. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
3. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
4. A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
This role requires you to be a driver.
Contract options:
· Part-time: 24hrs per week
Shift times:
All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
The shifts vary between 09:00 - 22:30 sleep-ins, 21:00 - 09:00 waking nights and 09:00 - 21:00 day shifts.
There is also a sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £62.45.
