Job Title: Community Learning Manager
Reports to: Head of Therapies and Community Services
Department: Community Services
Contract: Full-Time, 37 hours, 52 weeks a year
Salary: £38,315
Welcome to Homefield, a charity and specialist Further Education college delivering sustainable education, employment and life experiences. We support people whose primary need is autism or cooccurring conditions like ADHD and learning disabilities to be equal and active citizens.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Community Learning Manager to lead and develop our community services, including day provision, holiday programmes and social activities.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape a person-centred, inclusive offer that supports individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism to develop independence, life skills and meaningful community connections.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Lead and develop high-quality community services, ensuring a purposeful, accessible and engaging timetable
2. Promote independence, inclusion and lifelong learning for all service users
3. Build strong partnerships with local organisations to expand opportunities
4. Manage compliance including support plans, risk assessments and safeguarding
5. Act as Deputy Safeguarding Lead
6. Line manage, coach and develop staff teams
7. Monitor budgets and ensure effective resource management
8. Contribute to strategic development of community services
About You
We are looking for someone who:
9. Has proven leadership experience in education or social care
10. Has experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism
11. Is confident managing compliance, safeguarding and quality assurance
12. Is passionate about person-centred practice and co-production
13. Can build strong community partnerships and inspire teams
Essential Qualifications
14. Level 5 qualification in Leadership & Management
15. Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Health & Social Care / Education)
16. GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths & English
