Job summary
We are looking for a qualified applied psychologist to develop the next stage of our exciting low mood in learning disabilities study. The study is focussed on generating evidence and preparatory resources to support a large feasibility trial of a Low-Intensity low mood intervention for children and young people with learning disabilities.
You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.
Main duties of the job
To provide clinical expertise and guidance for the study.
To manage aspects of the study including;
Establishing a multi-stakeholder advisory group
Contributing to the development of the Low-Intensity low mood manual together with national experts in the field, together with teaching and training materials andsupervision resources
Supporting the running of the trial
Data analysis (qualitative and quantitative)
supporting the assistant psychologists in the research team
Supporting the submission of an NIHR funding application for the next phase

We require a confident and competent applied psychologist with doctoral level research experience to support the project to progress through this second phase, and to fully prepare for submission for future NIHR funding.
