Computer Science Teacher Merthyr Tydfil Teaching Personnel is working alongside a brilliant college based in the Merthyr Tydfil area who are currently in need of a qualified Computer Science Teacher to take up a position with them. The position is available to start in September and will be running for the duartion of the academic year with scope to move into a permanent position if the placement is successful. Interviews are being held over the next 3 weeks. IT Teacher Requirements: Hold qualified teacher status (FE also desirable) Experience teaching Computer Science to KS4/KS5 and/or FE Hold enhanced DBS available on the update service Valid registration with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) 2 school-based references desirable Teaching Personnel can assist you with your DBS & EWC Applications This fantastic opportunity is open to both NQTs looking to kickstart their career or FQTs wanting a new challenge. The successful applicant will be working as part of a team in a friendly and reliable environment that is the colleges Computer Science department. The school & Teaching Personnel do have additional training and mentoring available throughout the duration of the position to ensure the successful IT teacher can perform at their peak ability. You will be expected to pre-plan lessons in line with the college curriculum and teach this to students as well as marking and other general teaching duties.
