Role Purpose
The mission of this role is to contribute to the profitability of the company by providing professional and efficient service for Epiroc UK & Ireland Ltd.
Key Responsibilities
1. Promptly carry out servicing and maintenance on customer machines
2. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment
3. Maximize the commissioning of new equipment
4. Train customers and Epiroc personnel in machine operations as required
5. Order spare parts for service orders
6. Plan and organize daily and weekly visit schedules as needed
7. Apply Health and Safety regulations in the Service Centre and on-site
8. Maintain high standards of engineering practice
9. Maintain test instruments in good condition
10. Promote the Epiroc UK & Ireland Ltd. company image
11. Perform related duties as required
Experience & Educational Requirements
1. Experience in servicing mining and construction equipment
2. Good knowledge of the mining and construction industry
3. Desirable: product and service knowledge of general construction and/or mining plant or a strong engineering background
4. National certificate in mechanical engineering
5. Completed an apprenticeship
6. Willingness to travel overseas for training
7. Willingness to work underground when required
8. Prepared to stay overnight when required
This position is field-based, covering Scotland, and involves teamwork. The successful applicant must be eligible to work in the UK.
