To develop strong clinical leadership at a senior grade. Providing clinical expertise and assessing patients needs to make sure quality standards are met.
You will be managing a ward team, developing juniors nurses, mentoring and staff rostering. Overseeing the ward managing safety, resources and supporting quality nursing for the inpatients. Working with the MDT.
Main duties of the job
Good communications, supervision and mentoring others .

Manage the ward budget
Oversee patient safety, audits and review patient care needs with the team
Admission and discharge of patient flow
Supporting patients pathways with other services

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
10. Good general education
11. Registered Nurse (Level 1)/ Qualified Physiotherapist / Occupational Therapist
12. Degree related to field (or equivalent experience)
13. Teaching and Assessment recognised qualification
14. Recognised advanced communication skills
Desirable criteria
15. Completion of appropriate management and leadership programme
EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
16. Significant experience at a band 6 level within the NHS
17. Previous experience in teaching, coaching, mentoring
Desirable criteria
18. Proven track record in change management, team leadership and performance management
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
Essential criteria
19. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
20. Proven ability to utilise word, power point and excel to a level of producing documents, reports
Desirable criteria
21. Proven ability to analyse highly complex problems and to develop and successfully implement practical and workable solutions to address them
22. Evidence of participation in audit, research and development of staff
23. Proven track record with dealing with human resource concerns
