We're working with a specialist secondary school in Ware seeking a flexible, dedicated, and qualified SEN Secondary Teacher to join their team immediately or after half term. This role offers a unique mix of stability and variety: you'll teach a Year 7 class two days per week, and on the remaining three days, you'll provide cover for other year groups across the school, depending on staffing needs. About the School (Ware) This specialist setting in Ware supports students aged 11-16 with a range of complex needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Speech, Language & Communication Needs, SEMH, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. The school has a therapeutic, student-centred approach, and staff benefit from small class sizes and strong TA support. You'll be joining a team dedicated to helping students succeed both academically and emotionally. Your Week as an SEN Secondary Teacher: 2 days/week : Lead your own Year 7 class, planning and delivering tailored lessons supported by TAs. 3 days/week : Step in to cover lessons across various year groups (Years 8-11), offering vital continuity and support. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver differentiated lessons aligned to EHCP targets. Provide consistency and structure across different year groups during cover days. Create engaging, inclusive learning environments for students with a range of SEN. Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff. Work collaboratively with the SENCO and multidisciplinary teams. What We're Looking For: QTS or QTLS is essential. Experience working with SEN in secondary settings (specialist or mainstream). Flexible and confident across Key Stages 3 and 4. Comfortable with challenging behaviour and adaptive communication methods. Resilient, compassionate, and committed to inclusive education.
