User Researcher (GDS / Government Experience Required)
Hybrid across the uK
Rate: £440pd inside IR35
Duration: Initial 12 months
Start Date: ASAP
We require a flexible, data focused User Researcher with extensive Discovery experience and a solid track record of delivering in Government / GDS environments.
This role is ideal for someone who’s confident working in ambiguity, thrives in the early stages of service development, and isn’t afraid to challenge the norm, even in data dominated spaces.
* Lead the user research in a complex Discovery phase with lots of moving parts
* Bringing strong quantitative analysis skills to complement traditional research methods
* Collaborating closely with service designers, BAs, policy, and technical teams
* Navigating and adapting UCD principles, knowing when to flex the process and when to stick to it
* Feeding insight into fast-paced decision making, even when full evidence isn’t available
* Acting as a strong, constructive challenger, especially where data alone may be driving decisions
* Contributing to research strategy and helping shape long-term user understanding
