About the Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 4 class, delivering high-quality lessons that support pupils’ academic progress while fostering confidence and independence. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure continuity across Key Stage 2 and contribute to the development of effective teaching strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum
* Supporting pupils’ development in literacy, numeracy, and foundation subjects
* Monitoring and assessing pupil progress and providing regular feedback
* Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities
* Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff
* Building positive relationships with parents and carers
* Contributing to curriculum development and wider school activities
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
* Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
* Have excellent classroom management skills
* Be organised, proactive, and committed to high standards
* Have the ability to motivate and engage pupils
* Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
