Job Description
3. Assist in the preparation of management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
4. Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
5. Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate coding of transactions.
6. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
7. Assist with the preparation of VAT returns and other regulatory submissions.
8. Provide support during the month-end and year-end close processes.
9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
10. Help identify areas for process improvement within the accounting and finance functions.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:
11. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
12. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
13. An eye for detail and the ability to handle financial data accurately.
14. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
15. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
16. Willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment.
17. Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance, or progress towards obtaining one.
