We have exciting opportunities for senior grade consultants (Associate, Associate Director, and Technical Director) to support the growth of our UK-based Environment, Sustainability & Planning (ESP) team and the wider business.
We seek skilled, talented, and motivated individuals eager to advance their careers with a growing global consultancy, working on challenging projects across sectors like water, residential, commercial, defense, transport, energy, renewables, waste, and minerals. This role is primarily in the UK and Ireland, with some international opportunities. Join our established Environmental Planning team to collaborate with technical experts across engineering, environmental, planning, sustainability, and project management departments. While supporting and managing EIA projects within a consultancy environment, you will also have opportunities to expand your skills in team management, business development, and technical assessment. This senior leadership role reports to the Head of EIA and Natural Capital and offers the chance to influence the team’s direction, especially regarding policy changes and emerging sectors and technologies.

Responsibilities
The roles of Associate, Associate Director, and Technical Director will be aligned with experience, with responsibilities including providing technical and commercial leadership, managing environmental planning, consenting, and construction environmental management processes. You will support junior staff development and demonstrate expertise in areas such as:
1. Project Management and Direction: Lead multiple projects, coordinate teams and stakeholders, develop project plans, and communicate effectively with authorities and communities.
2. Environmental Impact Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments, understand methodologies, stay updated on regulations, and contribute thought leadership through publications and industry engagement.
3. Team Management and Leadership: Collaborate with senior management, lead team meetings, mentor junior staff, and participate in recruitment.
4. Business Development and Client Management: Demonstrate sector-specific knowledge, manage bidding processes, and develop client relationships.
5. Report Writing and Communication: Prepare and present detailed reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
6. Technical Specialisms: Be competent or eager to learn additional areas such as strategic environmental assessment, sustainability, climate change, socio-economics, and human health, with advantageous knowledge in natural capital, ESG, or sustainable finance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Management, or related field
- 10+ years of extensive EIA experience
- Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Team management and project management skills
- Proactive problem-solving and analytical abilities
