Role Summary
Travel and transport is a strategic priority for our growing campus. Supporting sustainable travel and aligning multiple partner organisations behind the integrated delivery of our shared 5‑Year Travel & Transport Plan requires strong coordination, project management, delivery focus and programme governance.
We are seeking a Project Manager to sit at the centre of this multi‑partner system – turning collective intent into coordinated delivery. This is not a passive secretariat role, nor a single‑project management post. It is a delivery integrator position and needs someone who can, without direct authority, hold the overview and maintain momentum in progress across organisational boundaries.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
* Act as an active secretariat to the Campus Travel & Transport Group, ensuring meetings are purposeful, well‑prepared and outcome‑focused.
* Work closely with the Campus Travel & Transport Group Chair to plan forward agendas, brief on emerging issues and track agreed actions.
* Translate the 5‑Year Travel & Transport Plan into a coordinated implementation plan and programme of work with clear milestones and dependencies.
* Monitor delivery across partners, identifying risks and supporting collaborative problem‑solving.
* Develop concise, credible reporting that provides transparency and supports constructive challenge.
* Coordinate and oversee the campus real‑time traffic sensor programme, ensuring high‑quality data informs interventions and strategic decision making.
* Engage with, and in some cases design and deliver, a range of projects in support of the campus travel and transport plan. Projects may include for example:
o Developing and executing the annual campus travel survey.
o Coordination and promotion of active travel, car sharing and other sustainable transport initiatives.
o Support bus strategy development with data and evidence.
o Engagement with public transport user groups for the campus.
o Support Campus communication improvements – drafting travel updates and considering improvements to real‑time travel information, and app‑based travel systems.
o Build effective relationships with campus occupiers, local authorities, transport operators and user groups.
* You will act as a trusted extension of the Chair, while remaining employed within, and reporting to, CBC Ltd.
About You

* Experience using data to inform decision‑making, performance monitoring and reporting.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Degree‑level qualification or equivalent relevant professional experience.
* High levels of organisational capability, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
* The ability to work autonomously, exercising sound judgement and maintaining momentum in a complex environment.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in travel and transport, or multi‑partner place‑based delivery programmes.
