JOB ROLE: Waking Night Support Worker
LOCATION: Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset (TA8)
SALARY: £13.20 - £13.90 per hour

We are seeking both Full Time Support Workers (part-time & bank hours may be considered) to join our wonderful team at The Lighthouse. We offer a variety of shift patterns and flexibility to meet the needs of the people we support.
About The Lighthouse: At The Lighthouse, we support nine people with Mental Health needs or dual diagnoses. We work with individuals with varied abilities to help them reach their full potential by developing their skills, strengths, and resilience. Our goal is to enable people to develop their own resources for self-management and well-being, providing support to develop coping techniques that make a noticeable difference in their daily lives. We recognize that everyone is unique, and their needs may vary; regardless of their situation or complexity, we encourage, support, and motivate them to achieve independence and life goals.
As a Waking Night Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting the day-to-day routines of the people we support.
2. Promoting independence and helping individuals lead fulfilling lives.
3. Encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
4. Maintaining health care needs, including accompanying to appointments and administering medication.
5. Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills, and shopping.
6. Assisting with personal care as required.
7. Helping with domestic tasks like cleaning and cooking.
8. Providing guidance and emotional support.
Experience in the care sector is not essential as full training is provided. What we value most is enthusiasm and commitment to our company values to support people in living happy and healthy lives.
