Summary
We’re seeking an experienced, passionate fundraiser to join our new Specialist Delivery Team as a Philanthropy Delivery Partner. You’ll support properties and projects across our North region to achieve ambitious fundraising targets aligned with our new 10‑year strategy.
With proven success securing major gifts and charitable trust funding and experience in delivering large‑scale appeals, you’ll also inspire colleagues to unlock their enthusiasm, networks and creativity to generate new fundraising opportunities. What it's like to work here
You’ll be working as part of a multidisciplinary team of experts: curators, archaeologists, conservators, building surveyors, fellow fundraisers and more, to help ensure we deliver the greatest possible public benefit through our People and Nature Thriving strategy. Together, you will help create meaningful impact for the places and communities we serve.
As this role covers the North region, your contractual place of work will be the nearest National Trust regional office to your home. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week
What you'll be doing
You’ll collaborate with fundraisers from across the National Trust, working alongside a diverse range of specialists and property teams. You’ll share your expertise generously, helping colleagues grow their knowledge and deepen their understanding of effective fundraising.
You’ll support some of the Trust’s most treasured places to achieve ambitious goals through creative and impactful fundraising initiatives. You’ll build and nurture relationships with new trusts and foundations, as well as high‑value supporters, engaging them in the full breadth of the Trust’s work and inspiring them to be part of our mission. Embedded within project teams, you’ll work closely with experts from across the organisation to bring fundraising opportunities to life.
You’ll help expand philanthropic giving for a truly inspiring cause, while also shaping and developing new fundraising initiatives that will support our work for years to come.
Who we're looking for

1. Experienced in developing complex fundraising plans with multiple income streams and meeting stretching income targets.
2. Proficient in fundraising through individual giving, gifts in wills, and charitable trusts.

4. A skilled communicator who can build strong relationships within diverse teams, internally and externally.
5. A flexible thinker and problem‑solver, confident in negotiating, influencing decisions, and using expertise effectively.
6. Proactive and organised, with project‑management experience and the ability to multi‑task while maintaining quality, cost and time standards.
7. A leader for inclusion who actively creates and supports an inclusive culture.
