Salary - The salary offered for this role is up to £42,700, increasing to £44,200 from 1st April. Plus a shift premium (calculated from the bottom of the pay range). Your potential earnings could be up to £52,000 including shift premium and OTE (On Target Earnings). Please note this role will attract a shift premium of 15% of the base rate, which is an additional earning of up to £4,905 annually.
Working Hours - Full-time role, 37.5 hours per week on a 2-week rota, with the expectation of working 1 in 2 Saturdays, at premium overtime rates.
Week 1: Monday to Friday - 06:00-14:00
Week 2: Monday to Friday - 14:00-22:00
Contract type - This is a permanent role.
What you'll be doing
* Ensure all vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard according to VOSA and Partnership's requirements.
* Complete inspection, service, and defect paperwork accurately and promptly.
* Maintain safe working practices complying with safety and Partnership regulations.
* Carry out high-quality repairs in a cost-effective manner.
* Keep all working areas clean and tidy.
* Assist in specific projects as directed.
* Stay updated on developments within the motor industry and note changes affecting workshop operations.
* Service and repair the Partnership's fleet of vehicles.
* Take ownership of personal development, seeking guidance from team leaders.
* Manage your own time efficiently and proactively within the workshop.
* Work as part of the team and assist others when needed.

Essential Experience/Qualifications
* City and Guilds 1, 2, 3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent qualifications.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Proven experience in transport commercial vehicle repairs.
* Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness.
* A 'C' or 'C+E' driving licence is desirable but not essential.
