Salary range: Grade 12 - £50,085 - 52,194 p.a. plus fantastic benefits
Contract: Fixed Term /Secondment
Hours of work: 36 hours per week
Location: Croydon
We are looking for a contracts manager to join the Culture, Leisure and Libraries team for a twelve month period covering maternity leave. The role will manage our two major contracts - for the delivery of our leisure services and the operation of Fairfield Halls. This will involve effective management and scrutiny of the contract finances, ensuring value for money for the borough and pursuing opportunities to generate income and enhance the offer. Monitoring contract performance and proactively addressing areas for development is also fundamental. The role will additionally provide procurement advice and guidance to the wider service, ensuring projects are delivered to secure best value and meet the Council's procurement regulations.
Excellent financial and commercial acumen is essential alongside the numeracy, technical skills and attention to detail required to undertake complex financial analysis. Strong communication, relationship building, partnership and negotiation skills are also key as this role will engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. The postholder will have an understanding of quality leisure and cultural services and be able to drive improvements and developments in the offer for residents. Experience managing complex, high value, contracts is essential, preferably within a culture or leisure context.
