We’re working with a specialist SEMH school in Hackney looking for a strong, steady SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a setting where relationships come first, routines matter, and every small win is a big deal.

What your day might look like:
* Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs
* Helping students regulate, refocus, and re-engage with learning
* Working closely with teachers, mentors, and therapists
* Being that consistent, calm presence students can rely on
* Celebrating progress that doesn’t always show up on a test paper

* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour
* A calm, patient approach, even on the tricky days
* Someone who builds rapport naturally, you’re the kind of person pupils open up to
* Resilience, empathy, and a good sense of humour (you’ll need it!)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
