About the Role
An exciting fixed-term opportunity for an advanced clinical pharmacist with leadership and clinical skills to lead the mental health pharmacy team within West Lothian HSCP. Based at St Johns Hospital, the role involves working across mental health specialties, including adult and older peoples mental health, and engaging in service delivery and development, including community-based services and transfer of care.
Key responsibilities include providing pharmaceutical care to vulnerable patients, medication reviews, medicines information, high-dose antipsychotic monitoring, adherence to the Mental Health Act, and patient/carer education.

About you
We seek a pharmacist with substantial clinical practice experience, preferably with mental health expertise. You should be an innovator, capable of implementing local and national strategies, with experience in service development, leadership, and staff management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The role requires Enhanced PVG Scheme Membership.
Qualifications include a Master of Pharmacy Degree or equivalent, registration with GPhC, and annotation as an independent prescriber. A postgraduate Clinical Diploma or Masters in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent is required. Candidates without a completed diploma or masters must demonstrate engagement with RPS Core Advanced Curriculum, participation in peer networks, and completion of learning assessments.
